🎯 CMAS Testing Begins This Week!
CMAS testing begins this week for students in grades 3–7.
CMAS assessments help:
- Families understand how students are progressing toward college and career readiness
- Schools reflect on teaching and learning to continue improving
- Communities see how schools are supporting students
- Students have the opportunity to show what they know and celebrate their learning
How you can help your student:
- Ensure your child arrives on time each day
- Encourage a good night’s sleep and a healthy breakfast
- Remind them to do their best and stay positive

🚧 Construction Update
We are excited to share continued progress on our building expansion! This week, crews will be focused on:
- Site cleanup across the construction area
- Bringing in fill dirt and continuing to grade of the playground and outdoor spaces
- Installing concrete sidewalks and safety barriers
- Beginning exterior siding on the building
- Starting flooring installation inside the building

👕 Uniform Reminder (Warmer Weather Update)
As the weather gets warmer, we want to provide a quick reminder and clarification of our uniform expectations:
Approved Bottoms:
- Dress pant material only: khaki, navy, or black
Not Permitted:
- Denim (except on free dress days)
- Athletic shorts/pants, sweatpants, pajama pants
- Cargo pants (pants with pockets on the legs)
- Leggings worn alone
Additional Clarifications:
- Only leggings or tights may be worn under a skirt, dress, or approved shorts
- The following are not allowed under skirts or shorts: pajama pants, sweatpants, jeans, or athletic pants
- Shorts, skirts, skorts, and dresses must be fingertip length or longer
- As temperatures rise, bare legs are perfectly appropriate. No additional layers are required.
We appreciate your support in helping students come to school dressed appropriately and ready to learn each day.

We are proud to celebrate our students who participated in the Chinese Bridge Competition, a prestigious international event that promotes Mandarin language skills and cultural understanding.

Colorado Avalanche Coaches Visit GVA-DC for PE Day - Waivers Needed
We are excited to welcome youth hockey coaches from the Colorado Avalanche to our campus on April 21 for a special experience during PE. Students in grades 1–5 will have the opportunity to participate in this fun, active session led by professional coaches. To ensure your child can take part, a waiver must be completed in advance.
