As we move into the later part of January and further into the second half of the season, our division leaders are beginning to take shape.
In the High School Division, the Orange team remains undefeated at 7-0. However Royal is just one game back, with Black and Green tied for 3rd with just two losses.

On the Girls side, the Sky has a solid lead in the Girls 5th/6th Grade Division at 5-1. And in the Girls 3rd/4th Grade Division, the Bulldogs and the Gators both still only have one loss.
On the Boys side, the Warriors hold a solid lead in the 7th/8th Grade Division and are still undefeated. The Boys 5th/6th Grade Division remains the tightest race with the Bulls, Celtics and Magic all with one loss.

The GVHS girls and boys basketball teams have been cleared to practice and have gotten back out on the court again. Siddhant Suresh Scholarship Fund

This scholarship fund was created to honor the memory of Siddhant Suresh, a wonderful son and brother, beloved community member and an outstanding student who loved basketball and chess. Siddhant was a GVBL tournament team and recreation league player, who enjoyed the sport and played it with great team spirit and enthusiasm.

As a selfless player on the basketball court, and a true, caring friend off the court, Siddhant epitomizes the values on which our Great Valley Community organization is built…family, friends and community. This scholarship is designed to help others who may need assistance, giving them the opportunity to participate in GVCO programming.

GVCO Project Update
If you have passed by the new GVCO Community Center site on Bacton Hill Rd, you have begun to see the transformation of the property.

We built a storage shed, began fencing in the property and opened the practice field in the back of the site. Our GVFL football and GV Cheer groups both held programming at the site this fall.

We have also held a number of community and fundraising events throughout the fall. And you may have seen a good bit of equipment being relocated as we begin to mobilize for future site work at the facility.
