GVBL Winter 2020-21 Highlights
The GVBL Winter 2020-21 Schedule for the teams/divisions has been updated through December. Please check your schedule for upcoming games/locations.

Girls Division:

Boys Division:

GVBL held its games in the nostalgically cool Lyons gym at the Phelps School this past weekend. With a full set of games Friday, Saturday and Sunday, there were some very exciting contests. Some of the teams are beginning to come together and division favorites are starting to emerge. Here is a brief recap of the games this past weekend:

Boys 7th/8th Division:
Friday night saw an incredible down to the wire game between the Kings and the Clippers, as the Kings outlasted them 44-43 as time expired and they moved into a tie for 2nd place in the division. On Saturday there was a battle for 1st place on the line and the Warriors out-dueled the Rockets 44-37, leaving them undefeated and atop the standings at 3-0.

Boys 5th/6th Division:
There are still 3 undefeated teams in the B5th/6th division with the Celtics leading the way at 3-0 after beating the Raptors 40-29. In the other two contests on Sunday, both the Bulls and the Magic maintained their unblemished record and both recording single digit wins. The Magic outplayed the Hornets 48-41, while the Bulls showed why they are becoming the top defensive team in the division, once again holding their opponents to a mere 15 points.

Girls5th/6th Division:
In Saturdays twin bill, this division had the most exciting game of the weekend. In a nail biter, the Dream squeaked by the Fever 21-20 putting them in a tie for 2nd place. In the other game of the day, the Sky shut down the Mystics continuing to show their defensive dominance and moving them to the top of the division at an undefeated 3-0.

Girls 3rd/4th Division:
The Bulldogs were idle this weekend but remain atop the standings at 2-0. In the two games of the weekend both the Gators and the Tigers held on to win and even their records at 1-1. The Razorbacks came within a point but came up short to the Tigers 16-15; while the Gators battled the Wildcats to a 26-22 win.
