Winter League Skills Assessments!

October 16th- 27th

We will release a skills assessment schedule soon. Each child is asked to attend at least one skills assessment session.

Results from assessments will help in balancing the teams for each division.

The 2023-2024 Great Valley Basketball League (GVBL) basketball season is rapidly approaching. Do you have an interest in sponsoring one of our youth basketball teams this year? We invite you to support our highly successful GVBL youth basketball programming through advertising for your business.

Team jersey sponsorship is a great way to help provide much-needed support to our programming and promote our business partners. This annual campaign asks local businesses and those from the corporate community for sponsorship to support the Great Valley Basketball League (GVBL).

The program includes the business or corporate sponsor name featured on the jerseys of one of our 75+ youth basketball teams, along with multiple "touch points" throughout the season on our numerous GVCO communiqués (website, newsletters, updates, social media, etc.).

Tournament Teams

GV Tournament Teams tryouts have been completed and all participants will be hearing from a coach or a GV Tournament Team committee member in the next couple of days.

Over the course of the next week or so, parent meetings for each team will be scheduled. Practice schedules are currently being defined and will be finalized shortly.

Our GVFL K thru 2nd grade Flag Football season opened this past weekend and the Cheerleaders were outstanding! After several weeks of practice the squad seemed to be in mid-season form!

GVCO Caring Hands is a community service group for students in grades 7-12. Caring Hands volunteers support their community by volunteering for events, running collection drives and raising funds for those that need it.

Students in grades 7-12 are welcome to join Caring Hands for the 2023-24 school year. The Caring Hands newsletters, Facebook and Instagram will have information for ways both students and parents can get involved. For further questions, please reach out to community@gvco.org.

Let's Make the Grass Grow!

October 3rd 3-5PM at GVCO, 51 N. Bacton Hill Rd., Malvern

Several student and adult volunteers are needed to work on the 3 islands in the complex parking lot. The stones need to be raked out, grass seed thrown down and some straw to help it grow. Gardening gloves are highly recommended but not required.

Financing the New GVCO Community Center

It's time for everyone in our Great Valley community to GIVE BACK. The community's support over the past six years has been tremendous [Donor List (8/31) ]. Let's finish what we started, paying off the debt and moving forward with the next phase of the project. To do this, the support must continue and be more broad based.

We are asking for help from the entire Great Valley private, public and business community.
