GVBL Tournament Teams
4th Grade Girls - DIAMONDS
The Diamonds played their first three games ever and although we lost all three games to Perkiomen Valley, Spring-Ford and Audubon, respectively; we improved in each successive game. We're hoping that we can use this as a lesson for the girls to see how far we have to go and how hard we have to work to improve.
5th Grade Boys - RAIDERS ~ KNIGHTS ~ DRAGONS
The Raiders and Knights played in the Spring Ford Tournament this weekend. The Raiders went 1-2 with an amazing buzzer beater 3 point shot by Gabe Naylor. The Knights went undefeated into the Championship game which they lost to Ridley by 6. The Knights also closed out their ICBA regular season in 3rd place and will compete in the playoffs. The Dragons end their Malvern League season next weekend. Everyone is excited to play in the James McKay Tournament next month.
5th Grade Girls - STORM
The Storm had a busy weekend of basketball. The team played an ICBA game on Friday against UMBC. While it was close at half with the Storm leading 19-10, the team pulled away and ended with a strong 46-17 victory. In other ICBA action on Sunday, the Storm defeated a scrappy Chestnut Hill team 18-4. The Storm finished with an 11-1 record in ICBA and will enter the playoffs as the #2 seed, facing off against Hatboro-Horsham in their first-round game. The weekend also saw the Storm compete in the Spring-Ford tournament. The Storm lost both games on Saturday. They played to D1 ICBA teams, Perkiomen Valley and SHYBA. They suffered losses by 5 and 8 points. On Sunday. they defeated Ridley in the first playoff game 23-13. Then they faced off against a strong Spring-Ford team, battling them to a 45-33 loss. That was the closest game Spring-Ford played in the tournament and they did not give up over 20 points to any other team. The Storm learned a lot and will focus on some key takeaways from the weekend as they move forward.
6th Grade Boys - 2026ers
The 2026ers Blue Team played in the Fieldhouse Tournament at the 76ers Fieldhouse in DE. On Saturday, they won their 1st game by one point and lost their 2nd game by four points. On Sunday, they started their day with an easy victory and qualified for a final consolation game. The consolation game went back and forth, but they couldn't pull out the win. They played on NBA size courts, so all the boys rested well after the tournament.

6th Grade Girls - LIGHTNING
It was a disappointing weekend for the Lightning. We had only one game, which we lost at home. Though the girls played well together, they were short staffed and felt it. They’ll be back to full strength for the playoffs and will be ready!
7th Grade Boys - PATRIOTS 2025

The 7th Grade Blue Team entered the Spring-Ford Presidents Day Tournament this past weekend and went 2 and 2 overall with some great competition on a very busy weekend. They lost their first game against Perk Valley 33 to 29. Won their second game against Plymouth Meeting 38 to 35. Won their third game against Lower Merion 42 to 27. Lost to Ridley Headstrong Team in the first round of playoffs.
The ICBA Team wrapped up their Season the top seed in the ICBA Division 2 with a record of 11 and 1. As a result, they were invited to participate in the State Tournament the weekend of March 20th. They participated in the Spring-Ford Presidents Day Tournament and lost in the Championship game to Spring-Ford Gold 57 to 47. They were congratulated after the Championship Game and personally invited to the State Tournament by Syracuse Billy Owens, Big East player of the year 1990/ 91 and Professional Basketball player.

7th Grade Girls - TITANS
The Titans competed well in their final two regular season ICBA games this weekend. Despite having 6 players in their first game and starting with only 5 in the second, the girls put in a strong showing losing to Deep Run 33-25 and last year’s state champs, Perkiomen Valley, 42-35 in a game where the Titans led in the second half. Having qualified for the ICBA playoffs, the Titans will face off next weekend against Deep Run for the third time this season, having split the regular season matchups.

GVMS Basketball
GVMS Boys Basketball
The 8th and 7th grade boys basketball teams finished another busy week with away games against Fugett and Kennett. The 8th grade team is 5-5 and the 7th grade is 9-1.

The teams play their last game of the season this week, on Wednesday against Chichester at home. Come out and cheer them on!
GVHS Basketball
GVHS Girls Basketball
Great Valley Girls lost to Downingtown East in the Ches-Mont Championship 63-36 last week. The Lady Patriots fought until the end in the game despite a tough shooting night.

The girls take on Pope John Paul II tonight at GVHS in the first round of the District 1 playoffs. Good luck ladies!
