The Great Valley Heat had a thrilling, buzzer beating 1 point victory over Chestnut Hill last Tuesday in the first round of the ICBA playoffs winning by a score of 49-48. A tight game for all four quarters ended in amazing fashion for the Heat. After Chestnut Hill knocked down a free throw to go up 48-46 with 3.7 seconds remaining, Great Valley called a timeout and set up a full court play. A great screen from Luke Kline, set up the opportunity for an amazing long pass from Alex Stanco which went just over the fingertips of a defender to Ethan Dewees. Ethan got the pass, quickly took a few dribbles up court and launched a 3 pointer from 25 feet. The shot banked in at the buzzer for the 1 point victory. Both Devon Thies and Ben Morris perfectly created space on the final play as all 5 players were in the spots they needed to be. Additionally, tremendous defense was played all game long by Ambrose Casper, Zach Charlier, Nick Moore, and Bennett Spangler. The Heat move on to the ICBA semifinals where they will play Penn Valley on Tuesday night in Narberth.

THIS WEEK'S SPONSOR SPOTLIGHT
| |
As always, we had tremendous local support for what we are trying to accomplish with our GVBL winter rec league. Without this assistance, there would be a financial shortfall for equipment, administration and facilities rental. GVBL would like to thank all those who have stepped up to support GVBL. In addition, as always please try and support these local businesses throughout the year, shopping and doing business right here at home.
