There is no residency requirement for gr. 1-8 for Summer basketball.

All players in the Boys HS league must be residents of GVSD.

General Information
  • The summer league runs from mid-June through the first week of August.
  • Divisions are single-sex and based on the player's grade as of Fall 2023: Grades 1st and 2nd; Grades 3rd and 4th; Grades 5th and 6th; Grades 7th and 8th
  • No refunds will be issued after June 4th.
  • All players receive a team jersey.

Games Information
  • There will be no practices.
  • A final schedule will not be made available until June 15th.
  • Each team will play 1-2 games per week during the 10 week season.
  • All games are held Monday-Thursday evenings.
  • Games last one hour and typically start between 5PM-8PM
  • Grades 3 and above will participate in a single elimination playoff at the end of the season.

Coaching Volunteers Wanted
We are continuing to look for volunteer coaches for GVBL Summer League. There will be no practices and most weeks just one game on Monday through Thursday nights. There are no refereeing duties.

GVBL is a local community league designed to just let the kids come out and have some fun playing basketball. If you have the time, please consider giving some of it back to the kids in our wonderful Great Valley community.

Games will be played outdoors at the GVHS, indoors at the Phelps School
s Athletic Center and indoors at Grand Slam.

Adult & Student Refs Needed
Students in grades 8th-12th as of Fall 2023 can sign up on the GVBL Student Referee Interest form.
We are looking for adults to referee alongside and mentor student referees. Participate as much as you would like through a weekly online referee sign-up form. Adults interested in reffing should sign up an Adult Referee Interest Form.
Caring Hands
This weekend, May 6th & 7th, GVCO Caring Hands student volunteers will be planting flowers and decorating flower pots at GVCO, 51 N. Bacton Hill Rd. Malvern. As we do each spring, our GVCO Caring Hands student volunteers plant flowers into flower pots to be donated to patients at the Green Meadows Rehabilitation in Paoli.

These flower pots are a yearly effort to bring a little spring to those currently residing at Green Meadows. For more details and to be part of the fun, please ...
Internship Programs
High School Interns
Fall 2023 - Spring 2024
Application deadline is May 31st

GVCO is looking for several high school juniors or seniors to assist with programming and administrative responsibilities during the 23-24 school year. Hours would be 2 to 5 hours per week between 3pm-5pm Mondays through Fridays. 

GVCO will work with you to create flexible scheduling around academic and extracurricular responsibilities. Compensation is $10 per hour. If interested, please complete the GVCO Internship Form by 5/31.Hiring decisions will be made June 15th.
Tackle Football
Summer Cheer
The Summer Cheer Conditioning Clinics are for athletes who are interested in training and enhancing their strength in anticipation of the fall sports season. These clinics are not inclusive of only cheerleaders, but for all boys and girls who want to get back outside and work out with other athletes. There will be a focus on exercises and drills for strengthening muscles used for cheer as well as other athletics.
The clinics will be held on Sundays from 11-12pm and Tuesdays from 6-7pm at Sugartown Elementary. The program begins Tuesday June 20th and ends Sunday July 30th. There is no session on July 4th.

Registration opens April 30th.
