Thank You to Our Student Referees
We would like to thank all of our student referees for their hard work this summer! They've been a big help with our basketball program and we couldn't hold summer league without them. It means a lot to see so many young adults giving back to their community, and offering their time and skills to us so we can have a successful season! The GVBL Summer League would not run without them! It is so rewarding to see GVBL participants giving back to the program that they grew up with. We hope that this continues for years and years to come!
Thank you again to all of our amazing student referees!

Fall Cheer for Grades 2-6
The Junior Patriots Cheer Program for grades 2-6 combines sideline cheer for football and basketball with competitive cheer where the athletes will compete in competitions in the local area. The athletes will spend time on the fundamentals of stunting, learn a competition routine, condition, work on tumbling and learn cheers for football and basketball.
Each week, there will be a two hour and a half long practices at a location within the Great Valley School District between August and early November. The season starts in early August. The athletes will cheer at home tackle football games during the fall, which are typically held on Sunday mornings through the last weekend of October. There will be approximately two competitions during the fall on the weekend.
Once football games and competitions are over, the athletes drop to one practice a week to continue to work on stunting and learn basketball cheers. They will cheer at GVBL tournament team games. During basketball season, the schedule is significantly reduced to allow for the cheerleaders to also play for GVBL or other winter sports. The cheer season will wrap up in February.
