Our l'il hoopsters were right back at this past weekend, focusing again on man-to-man defense and staying between their man and the basket. Needless to say the "Free-zone" was a challenge, but we applaud their aggressiveness! We also began working on "getting back" after a made basket, preparing for our big All Star game next Saturday. If you wnt to see some real ballin' stop by Grand Slam next Saturday at 2:30pm.

Siddhant Suresh Scholarship Fund
This scholarship fund was created to honor the memory of Siddhant Suresh, a wonderful son and brother, beloved community member and an outstanding student who loved basketball and chess. Siddhant was a GVBL tournament team and recreation league player, who enjoyed the sport and played it with great team spirit and enthusiasm.
As a selfless player on the basketball court, and a true, caring friend off the court, Siddhant epitomizes the values on which our Great Valley Community organization is built…family, friends and community.
This scholarship is designed to help others who may need assistance, giving them the opportunity to participate in GVCO programming.
Participants must reside within Great Valley School District to be eligible for the scholarship funds.

Denise Bones baked her first cake when she was 8 years old in her home in Berwyn, and her love for baking only grew from there. Bill Bones, her husband, started cooking and baking in his home in Devon when he was just 6 years old.
It was fate that they met years later in 1981 at Conuses Restaurant in Wayne, where Denise waited tables and Bill was a cook. After a short 9 years together, they united their passions to create something of their own… This is where Clay's Bakery was born. Along with Denise’s mother, Barbara, and named in honor of her father, Clay, the bakery was off to a running start. Bill would bake through the night, and Denise would decorate the cakes and help the customers.
Denise and Bill are still running Clay's Bakery today, creating memories that their customers will remember for years to come in the form of beautifully decorated, delicious cakes. The Bones children and grandchildren were born and raised in Malvern, with many of them growing up playing a variety of sports in Great Valley including GVBL. Their grandson is still playing for GVBL today. Denise and Bill attend every game they can, splitting their time between crafting amazing desserts and cheering on their grandson’s team.
