Better Days Ahead

This month...

Caring Hands volunteers will assemble care packages for the homeless.

Care packages will be distributed by the local non-profit Better Days Ahead for those who need them in Phoenixville, Pottstown and Norristown.

Look for a donation table at GVCO in the coming week.

Cards for MLK Day

Cradles to Crayons includes a hand-made well-wish card with every new backpack full of school supplies we distribute. The cards share encouraging words about the upcoming school year to help the receiving child feel optimistic and excited about learning.

Cradles to Crayon's goal for MLK Day is to have 10,000 cards made by community members. Please consider making well-wish cards to help us meet this challenge.

Challenger Hoopsters Volunteers

Volunteering

Challenger Hoopsters will focus on basketball skills like dribbling, passing and shooting. One-on-one buddies will not be assigned for this session, but multiple volunteers will assist at stations with skills.

Session dates are Jan 16, 23, 30 and Feb 6 at GVCO Community Center, Bacton Hill Road Malvern. Volunteers are required to arrive at 3:45PM and stay until 5:30PM.

American Red Cross Blood Drive - March

Again this March, GVCO will host a Red Cross Blood Drive.

Additional details are coming; registration will be through the Red Cross website or the Red Cross' app.

Requirements:

Donors must be at least 16 years old, weigh at least 110 lbs. and feeling well.
Donors must bring photo identification or a Red Cross donor card

Home of the Sparrow Giving Garage

Thank you for your generosity for the Home of the Sparrow Giving Garage. Dozens of home and personal care items were delivered to Home of the Sparrow.

Coat Drive

Thank you to everyone who donated coats this season! 167 coats for children and adults were collected and will be distributed to local families in need through the Devereux Foundation.
