FALL CHEER/
2nd half of October

The 2nd-6th grade cheerleaders are continuing to learn their routine at practices. They have continued to work on their stunts, tumbling and dance.
The flag cheerleaders have been enjoying their time cheering at the flag football games and always ending the game dancing to Buttercup like the High School team.
Speaking of High School Cheer team….

Congrats to seniors Claire, Emma and Jasey who were honored at the HS football game on October 22nd.
The cheerleaders had a great time making cards for CardzforKidz, which is a non profit that brings cards to kids in the hospital. Community events have become an enjoyable part of the GV Cheer program this year.
The cheerleaders also ended their sideline football season this past weekend. They were so happy to be support the GVFL players. The homecoming games were on October 24th where each football player and cheerleader was announced at the beginning of the game and received a rose for their parents. Thank you Tracey Willey for all your help putting the ceremony together!
The cheerleaders will cheer through basketball season for GVBL, so stay tuned for pictures of them in action!

We are working on our schedule for the winter/spring of 2022. For more information, please contact cheer@gvco.org.

GVBL WINTER LEAGUE

GVBL Players and Coaches Are Finally Dribbling and Shooting Basketballs!

Following several months of planning/organizing, our GVBL Winter Recreational Basketball League rosters are set and games/practices are scheduled. It's finally time to start playing basketball. For 20+ years GVBL has offered the local communities youth an opportunity to learn how to play basketball and have fun doing it. Because of many, many volunteer coaches, referees and administrators our community basketball league has been extremely popular, with a long term track record of being successful.

To all involved, have fun with it and enjoy the season! Remember to understand what is trying to be accomplished by our Great Valley community basketball league and who is involved...they are all your neighbors, classmates, friend and community members.

Take the time to cheer on every kid, not just those on your team. Take the time to thank the mom or dad who is volunteering to coach or referee any particular game whether your team wins or loses. And always be thoughtful when participating as a player, a fan, a coach or a referee...it's a community league.

Thanks,
Gary Taiariol, GVBL Director
Matt McDaniel, GVBL Scheduling Director
Todd Fredrick, GVBL Tournament Team Director
Tom Curran, GVCO Chairman
