GVCO IS PLANNING ON HOSTING

A TON OF NEW COMMUNITY PROGRAMMING THIS FALL

Now that the community has a new Community Center, GVCO has been working hard to line up many new programs beginning this fall. AND we are coordinating with several organizations in the area in hopes of quickly onboarding additional programming needed in the region.

Read below about our partnership to offer a course for adults called English Language Learners. This will help those in the area who have yet to master the English language a free opportunity to learn the language. We will continue to expand our offerings to those 65 and older, to better understand the confusing “new world” of Medicare. GVCO has a wonderful relationship with a local expert in the field, and we will offer additional free seminars to help older adults navigate the Medicare system. We have just developed an affiliation with a local veterinarian expert from the University of Penn, who will hold free sessions to help educate the community about pet emergencies and what you can do at home to prevent a costly trip to the pet ER.

Of course, we will still offer to assist many other local nonprofits with their missions to help the region through our GVCO Caring Hands foundation, as we have done for years. We are adding another blood drive, beginning a monthly volunteer “community workday” and continuing to support the 3 district townships and Malvern Borough, in a greater effort to create Community here in Great Valley.

Please understand that much of the programming we bring onboard is often through reverse inquiry. So, if you recognize that there is something that the community might benefit from or need, please reach out to community@gvco.org and let’s see what can be done!

Thanks,

Keith Walsh

GVCO Internship Program

This Fall, GVCO is looking for qualified college candidates to assist us through our GVCO Internship program. Read more...

We have found that the local high school and college students are a tremendous resource for our non-profit organization, from helping with communications to administration and facilities. At the same time, the students receive some valuable work experience, helping build their resumes, which they can take with them as they move to their next chapters in life.

All HS internships have been filled. We look forward to working with the 2024-2025 GVCO internship class!

More information about internships can be found on GVCO.org.
