GVCO Caring Hands

In recent months the community focus of the Caring Hands program has pivoted to addressing food insecurity challenges within our local senior community.
In Dec. 2020, Caring Hands delivered $1,000 in Giant Food Store gift cards to local senior families, and the donation of Giant gift cards has continued into 2021. If you are aware of any seniors in the Great Valley community currently facing food insecurity please contact Caring Hands at [email protected].

Steps4Hope

The Steps4Hope 5k walk/run and cornhole fundraising events were canceled in 2020 due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Hoping to bring these events back in 2021!

Internships

GVCO is looking for self-motivated GVHS students, ideally completing their 11th grade year, interested in assisting our organization with its programming.

In anticipation of partnering with GVCO in the new community center on Bacton Hill Rd in Malvern, Surrey Services for Seniors began offering programs, activities and meals in the Great Valley area. Surrey had begun offering a variety of classes and activities prior to the pandemic at the United Church of Christ on route 352. The hope is that as we return to "normal" in 2021, the renewed partnership between the two organizations will continue to evolve.

Challenger Gym

Due to the covid-19 pandemic all Challenger programming has been suspended until the leadership feels they can offer safe and healthy programming. The hope is that as we work our way through 2021 this wonderful community programming effort will move forward.

Siddhant Suresh Scholarship

This scholarship is designed to help others who may need assistance, giving them the opportunity to participate in GVCO programming.
