GVCO Community Center
GVCO is excited to announce that we have been awarded $750,000.00 of state funding to assist with the construction of our new GVCO Community Center. With the help of Senator Committa to secure the funding, GVCO sees this as another milestone towards making this wonderful community asset a reality for Great Valley and the surrounding region.

Many employers like Vanguard have a Matching Gifts program!
Much of the success of any capital campaign comes from Employer Matching Gift Programs. Most corporations have a a matching gift program which enables you to have twice the impact with your contribution.
|
|
|
To date, we have received over $130,000 in matching gifts towards our new GVCO Community Center. For this first phase of the project, if we could simply raise that same level of employer matching gifts, it would allow us to nearly pay for the entire plumbing in the building or all of the windows and doors.
We have compiled a list of corporations that historically have had Matching Gift Programs. If you have further questions please don't hesitate to reach out to execdirector@gvco.org and we will be glad to assist you.

Narayanan/Tan Family
In the summer of 2019, the Narayanan/Tan family embarked on the 7th household move, starting with our first all the way from California in 2000. That’s a lot of relocations in our lives, many of which were emotional and mental roller-coasters. We said goodbye to old friends and eventually, hello to new ones. As we look back, there’s always been at least one family in each city, which we’ll always cherish and keep in touch with.
The move to the Great Valley area was probably the most challenging. We arrived and tried to settle quickly, not knowing the world was about to change in just a few months. Our daughters participated in GV Crew and Soccer, which in some small way, made things normal for us as quickly as we had hoped. We thank everyone who’s welcomed us here, and giving back is just one small way we’re able to show our appreciation to this wonderful community. As an employee of a large company with a strong community presence in the area, a great way for some of us to contribute to GVCO is through the company matching gift program.”

Winter White Out
Donation Drive for Household Items
GVCO is thankful for our community and we hope that you will reach out to those less fortunate. For Giving Tuesday, we are partnering with Home of the Sparrow and their Winter White Out Donation Drive.
Did you know that government assistance does not cover necessary household items? For women and mothers who are facing homelessness, the cost of essential household items can be insurmountable. Please join us in creating a #WinterWhiteOut and help us collect the following items:
- Wawa gift cards (for fuel)
- Bleach
- Cleaning products
- Laundry detergent
- Paper towels
- Unscented trash bags
Information regarding dropoffs is coming!
