Let's Have Some Fun!
For those of us constantly doom scrolling social media videos to pass the time, instead of watching everyone else's videos, let's have some fun and MAKE SOME!
Each week I would like to include a tips and tricks section in The Vanner Banner, but instead of it being written content, let's do it with video! This is a wonderful way to get to know everyone, share those awesome tips you've learned over the years, provide education, and its a great way for everyone to participate in something fun from the comfort of your barn.
Are you on board yet? Here's the plan... Record your best tips and tricks with your cell phone. Tips could include: show prep tips, trail riding tips, training tips, grooming tips, tips on properly fitting tack and equipment, management tips... really anything you think is a great tip where Gypsy Vanners are involved.
Please keep videos to 90 seconds or less. If your tips are selected they will be featured in a weekly Vanner Banner edition and on the GVHS Facebook page! Please include your name and your Horse's name with your video submission.

Did you know the GVHS offers high point year-end awards based on ETS activity? The GVHS will honor and award the top ten Gypsy Vanners in ETS each year at the GVHS annual awards banquet.
To be eligible for GVHS awards the horse must be GVHS registered and the owner a GVHS member.
Enjoy the variety of Trail Challenges, Obstacle Courses, and Recreation Rides in a fun and family friendly environment. Enjoy access to private ranch lands and beautiful public parks while bonding with your Gypsy Vanner Horse.
The Equine Trail Sports organization offers many events and is eager to help you establish some in your area. The ETS tracks your participation and reports them in real time on their website. To enter this program click the button below.

Performance Evaluations
Performance Evaluations are multifunctional with several objectives:
• Give some idea of the horse’s inclination and
ability in a given discipline;
• Give the owner some direction as to how to best utilize the horse’s natural ability; and
• Give a reward for the talented, well trained,
responsive horse by allowing him to earn
recognition for his accomplishments.
