View Landmarks Applications In Your Neighborhood

GVSHP provides an ongoing record of all applications for changes to landmarked properties in our neighborhoods (Greenwich Village, NoHo, Gansevoort Market, the South Village, and the East Village) that require a public hearing before they can be approved. These proposals range from minor alterations to large additions, demolition, and new construction on landmarked sites.

Find out about the application, when the Community Board and NYC Landmarks Preservation Commission public hearings will take place, and how you can weigh in before decisions are made. You can also sign up for alerts to be notified of changes in the status of the application.

The new applications below are scheduled to be heard in the near future at the Community Board, the LPC, or both. Click on each for more information.

Deadline for Village Awards Nominations April 10

The deadline to submit a nomination for a favorite business, community group, person, public space, local landmark, renovation, restoration, or new addition to the Village, East Village, or NoHo is fast approaching -- don't miss your chance to submit a nomination for the Annual Village Awards!

The nominee cannot have received a Village Award in the past (browse the list of past awardees, so you do not re-nominate a past winner).  Nominations must be received by 6:00 P.M. on Wednesday, April 10, 2013. An online registration form, list of prior winners, and more information about the awards can be found on the GVSHP website.

Since 1991, GVSHP has presented its Village Awards in recognition of those people, places, and organizations which make a significant contribution to the quality of life in Greenwich Village, the East Village, and NoHo. Check out GVSHP's 2012, 2011, and 2010 Annual Awards.  This year, GVSHP will present its 23rd Annual Village Awards at our Annual Meeting on June 17.

Won't you take a moment to nominate a local treasure?  Submit a nomination, or find out more  HERE.
