Sustainable Urban Planning master's degree students enrolled in the studio course gained hands-on professional planning experience through a partnership with Arlington County’s
Department of Community Planning, Housing and Development.
The students had the opportunity to work directly with professional planning staff in Arlington County, and participate in a real world land use study plan.

The Biology of Joy: A Special Event with Bruce H. Lipton, Ph.D.

Dr. Bruce H. Lipton, an internationally acclaimed author and epigenetics expert, spoke at GW in December. During his talk, he guided the audience through a journey of self-discovery from the “chemistry of atoms to the chemistry of joy” to help them understand how they influence their own level of happiness. The event, hosted by the Center for Excellence in Public Leadership, highlights the Center’s work elevating consciousness in the nation’s capital through its leadership and coaching programs that focus on whole-person development.

GW Data Analytics Boot Camp Boosts Mike Marshall's Career
|
Mike Marshall felt it was time to make some changes in his life. While working as a sales engineer in Washington, D.C. he realized he had hit a ceiling in advancement. He had gained some experience with measurements and metrics during his eight years in sales, and was interested in breaking into the world of business intelligence.
He chose GW’s Data Analytics Boot Camp for the intensive curriculum designed to teach the technical skills he needed to analyze and solve real world data problems in just 24 weeks. The boot camp is offered through the GW College of Professional Studies, in collaboration with Trilogy Education Services, a 2U, Inc. brand.
