Ellen Barlow
Ellen Barlow, certified GYROTONIC� and specialized equipment instructor, is a movement education specialist with over 25 years experience teaching and designing programs in fitness, rehabilitation, dance, yoga and other mind-body practices.
Rosalie Begun
Rosalie Begun is a certified GYROTONIC� instructor and a pilates mat instructor and has been practicing physical therapy in Washington, DC for over 20 years. She treats patients with a variety of orthopedic and sports-medicine conditions and has extensive experience treating dancers and performing artists. Rosalie frequently teaches Yamuna Body Rolling workshops at Elements.
Justine Bernard
The dedicated and hardworking owner of Elements, Dr. Justine Bernard began studying GYROKINESIS�, then known as Yoga for Dancers, in 1994 with Hillary Cartwright while on scholarship at The Ailey School for Dance in New York, NY. In 2003 she received her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Columbia University and she is currently GYROTONIC� Master Trainer and is certified in all specialized equipment.
Brianne Bland
Brianne is a certified GYROTONIC� instructor, as well as certified on the Jumping/Stretching Board. Brianne recently retired from the Washington Ballet after a 13 year career, dancing principal roles in both the classical and contemporary repertoire.
Heather Doyle
Heather is a certified GYROTONIC� and GYROKINESIS� instructor who has traveled the country to expand her knowledge of this system.
When not teaching at Elements, Heather continues her dance career as a performer and choreographer.
Yvonne Hamm
Yvonne Hamm is a certified GYROTONIC� instructor and has been teaching Gyrotonic exercise since January 2007. She has taught dance and creative movement in Germany, New York City and Washington, DC for over twenty years and founded "Dance Discovery" a children's dance program in Washington, DC.
Francesca Jandasek
Francesca was introduced to the GYROTONIC� system five years ago and has loved discovering the how the movement principles and concepts of GYROTONIC� exercise prove themselves beneficial in many areas of daily life. She has had the fortune to share her love of movement by teaching many forms of movement including modern dance, ballet, tango, creative movement, yoga, stretch and GYROTONIC� exercise
Nathan Martin
Nathan is a GYROTONIC� and GYROKINESIS� Master Trainer certified in all specialized equipment, with clients ranging from rehabilitative to professional sport and dance. He has continued his education around the world gaining learning and teaching experiences from different cultures and healing modalities which makes his method of instruction unique and versatile.
Peta Middleton
It was while ballet that Peta was introduced to GYROTONIC� exercise and became a convert. Peta also has a passion for sports, taking part in a wide range of activities, including playing tennis for her school and badminton for her universities
Tracy Monaco
Tracy is a GYROTONIC� Master Trainer and is certified in GYROKINESIS� and all specialized equipment. After a professional dance career, she has continued to to gain knowledge for her students at courses throughout the country and worldwide.
Julianna Nagy
Julianna was introduced to the GYROTONIC� system while dancing at Boston Ballet and became instantly hooked. As a GYROTONIC� instructor since 2006, she enjoys working with students who are new to Gyrotonic, students with therapeutic needs, and those who are experienced practitioners. Julianna is also a certified yoga instructor.
Stacy Palatt
Stacy is a certified GYROTONIC� instructor, Pilates instructor, and is also certified in Body-Mind Centering� Developmental Movement and Yoga. Her interest in holistic movement began while earning an MFA in Dance at George Washington University and later with Erick Hawkins Dance Company NYC.
Michelle Silva
Michelle began studying GYROTONIC� exercise in 2003 and found that the system reminded her of the joy she felt studying ballet as a child. She continues to independently study with a variety of Master Trainers throughout the U.S. as well as attending yearly courses with Juliu Horvath.
