Denise W. Hines, DHA, PMP, FHIMSS has joined the Executive Leadership Team of HIMSS as Chief Americas Officer (CAO) beginning January 2019. As CAO, Dr. Hines will provide strategy oversight and leadership to HIMSS's services and offerings in North America, including its professional development and membership programs. She will also oversee key mission-based initiatives such as Women in Health IT, for which she is already an active member and supporter.
In addition to this new role, Dr. Hines will continue to serve as Executive Director of GaHIN, with a primary focus on short- and long-term planning and strategy.
After serving as Chair Emeritus for HIMSS North America (HNA) Board of Directors, Dr. Hines has a unique vantage point and a deep understanding of the organization's global strategy and mission.
