A Wonderful Evening: WINE, CHEESE & CHAIR-ity!
When we ask our artists to upcycle used furniture, the results are always incredible! On May 19th - an evening filled with music, wine, scrumptious refreshments, and great conversation - a number of these one-of-a-kind pieces were purchased to benefit Gallery 53's general operating fund!

THANK YOU to the artists, the Augusta Curtis Cultural Center Concert Band members, Linda Latini, and everyone who came out to support this magical event! And of course, our hard-working volunteers!

CLOSED MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND

To give our hardworking volunteers time to kick back and enjoy some fun in the sun, the Gallery 53 gift shop and art studio will be CLOSED Friday, May 27th through Monday, May 30th. We will reopen May 31st.

MOSAIC OF THE MONTH: Castle Craig
Is there any more iconic symbol of Meriden than Castle Craig? This framed, large-scale (31" x 38") stained-glass mosaic depicts Castle Craig silhouetted against a dramatic night sky with a full moon. It also features "Jeremy's Heart" which enhances the castle during the holiday season and is a tribute to essential workers during the pandemic.
