Our popular yearly soup + bowl fundraiser is back and better than ever! Every week, order soups in 12 oz. containers with bread and a dessert snack. PLUS, select a hand painted bowl created by G53 artists!

Place orders by Tuesday at 2:00 PM for pickup on Thursday!

Cold Wax / Oil Paint Workshop
November 12th l 10 - 3

Cold wax allows you to achieve a subtle, translucent surface with depth and layers of meaning. Join us for this workshop with Connecticut artist Gina Dunlap, who has created numerous award-winning pieces using this technique.

"SOUPER-STAR" AWARD

Janet Gawlak, G53 Executive Board Member, presented Paul Dominello of Paul's Deli and Catering with a plaque honoring his contributions to our Bread & Broth fundraiser since 2019. This award acknowledges Dominello for donating gallons of homemade soups, as well as his idea of transforming the fundraiser from a 1-day, in-person dinner to a multi-week takeout format when the pandemic struck in 2020. THANK YOU, Paul!!!
Cocktails & Salsa: A huuuuge G53 THANK YOU to Steven Powell, instructor at Fred Astaire Dance Studio in Hamden for donating his time and talent for our Cocktails & Salsa FUN-draiser on September 24th!
Lots of designer bags and vintage jewelry went home with some savvy shoppers at our fantastic Fall shopping event, “The Old Bag” on September 30th! You missed it? Not to worry, the Bags ‘n Bling Sale is on display in the Indianna Room until the end of October . . . so you can still score some great buys on gently used purses and vintage jewelry!
Meriden Little Free Libraries announces the Little Free Puzzle Library at Hubbard Park! The brainchild of Susan Martel, this special leave-a-puzzle-or-take-a-puzzle library was created by Joe and Rosemary Glorioso, Christine Webster and team at Gallery 53, and installed by Meriden Parks & Recreation Department.
A memorial service for former member Philip Hersh Statlender was held in the Indianna Room on September 11th. Mr. Statlender, who passed away December 24, 2021, was a talented artist, photographer and visual merchandiser who graduated from the University of Hartford Art School. We were very honored to host this event.
