Miami Children's Hospital Enters Technology Venture With MediTouch EHR

Miami Children's Hospital

Miami Children's Hospital (MCH) and HealthFusion, Inc., the developer of MediTouch EHR, announced today a strategic partnership to offer an MCH private-labeled electronic health record system to pediatricians throughout the South Florida market. The game-changing agreement makes the technology company's cloud-based EHR readily available to pediatricians in Miami-Dade, Broward, Palm Beach, and Monroe Counties. In addition to specific functionality that will allow doctors to interface with MCH's hospital-based systems, physicians who subscribe to MediTouch will also be able to take advantage of unique incentives and benefits.

The MCH version of the technology will have its own name that harkens to its robust pediatric module, which facilitates quick and easy entry of patient-encounter information typical of what a pediatrician would see in his or her practice. This feature has proven itself valuable to thousands of physicians who already use MediTouch throughout the nation.

"We considered many EHRs for our community-based physician colleagues, and when we came across MediTouch, we saw it as an elegant solution - one that made sense for all the physicians we work with," said Edward Martinez, Chief Information Officer for Miami Children's Health System...
