SFBJ Releases Annual Top Hospitals List for South Florida Region

The top five hospitals in the region were ranked by net operation revenue.  Jackson Health System led with Jackson North revenues just over $1 billion. Not far behind was Baptist Hospital ($819 million) and Memorial Hospital ($747 million).  Rounding out the top five were Miami Children's Hospital ($463 million) and South Miami Hospital ($444 million).
SFBJ also ranked the region's hospitals by net income (i.e. profit) and physicians active on staff.  The latter method offers an insightful metric for evaluating the various hospitals' physician integration strategies.

Jupiter Medical Center and Miami Children's Hospital to Partner

Jupiter Medical Center (JMC) and Miami Children's Hospital (MCH) recently announced a partnership to make Miami Children's Hospital the pediatric partner for Jupiter Medical Center. The partnership will take shape in two Miami Children's Hospital phases over the next two years. By working together, Jupiter Medical Center and Miami Children's Hospital are enhancing the world-class pediatric clinical services and programs currently offered to the community at the Miami Children's Hospital Nicklaus Outpatient Center in Palm Beach Gardens and in the private pediatric practices throughout the county.

"Miami Children's Hospital is pleased to partner with Jupiter Medical Center as part of our commitment to be where the children are in South Florida.
