Baptist Memorial Health Care Selects gMed

Boca Raton based gMed, a Modernizing Medicine company and developer of the award-winning gGastro electronic health record (EHR) system and gInsights performance measurement platform, is proud to announce that Tennessee based Baptist Memorial Health Care has selected gGastro as its primary Procedure Report Writer for the hospital's 47 endoscopy units. Part of a renowned network of hospitals, physician groups, medical centers and clinics across the mid-south, Baptist's selection of gMed for centers across Tennessee and Northern Mississippi is based heavily on the solution's intuitive user interface, ability to meet the organization's clinical needs for GI and respiratory procedure imaging and documentation, complete recall capabilities and comprehensive analytics tool.

The choice of gGastro comes at a time when Baptist's legacy system, Olympus' EndoWorks software platform, is being sunset, and Baptist was in search of a replacement system to best fit the needs of its physicians and clinical operations. After many discovery calls and an on-site vendor fair that allowed physicians, clinicians and operational and technical team members from all Baptist sites to vet a plethora of vendors, the team at Baptist selected gMed.

G.E. Selects Holy Cross Hospital and The Leone Center for Orthopedic Care as a National Center of Excellence for Hip and Knee Replacement

General Electric, one of the nation's largest employers, has designated Ft. Lauderdale based Holy Cross Hospital and The Leone Center for Orthopedic Care as a National Center of Excellence (COE) for hip and knee replacement surgery.

Eligible program members can elect to receive enhanced coverage for hip or knee replacement at a COE provider. Patients choosing Holy Cross will be supported by a patient navigator that will work to ensure a pleasant experience and will assist with transition of care arrangements for both local and traveling patients.
