Update from the Grand Chapter
A Letter From the GIS Board of Trustees President
Gamma Iota Sigma is supported by a dedicated Board of Trustees who are guided by an Executive Committee comprised of industry representatives, faculty, alumni, and students. Keeping the voice of students and university representatives involved is the priority of Gamma Iota Sigma and its leaders organization-wide.

"In my comments to the Board of Directors after my recent election to the president’s role, I underscored the need to enhance our commitment and focus on the students that Gamma was created to serve and support as appropriate, and the talented faculty across the country who work so closely with our student members in preparing them for successful careers in the risk management and actuarial arena. This after all is our primary reason for existence." - John Smith
Gamma Iota Sigma Announces Grace Grant as Executive Director
Gamma Iota Sigma is pleased to announce Grace Grant as the newly appointed Executive Director. Grace has been with GIS for the past seven years and is dedicated to serving the students and meeting the needs of the insurance industry.

"As the premier collegiate talent pipeline of the insurance industry, we have the unique opportunity to engage and learn from the next generation. This year has brought challenges for many, but GIS stands strong and ready to support, equip, and lead the next generation into this rewarding industry." - Grace Grant

Gamma Iota Sigma remains resilient and adaptable through change. We are committed to listening to GIS stakeholders with the students being the top priority and focus of the organization serving a mission of promoting and sustaining student interest in the industry.
A Letter From Your ISR
Gamma Iota Sigma's International Student Representatives serve on the Board of Trustees, serving as the liaison between the students and the Grand Chapter. The student voice is at the forefront of all that GIS does throughout the year. Meet one of your 2020 - 2021 ISR's, Stacy Rodriguez from the Beta Zeta Chapter at the University of North Texas.

"I will be meeting with students individually and in small groups, collaborating with chapter presidents to benefit and meet the needs of our GIS community. I speak a language of hope and blend respect, creativity, passion, and patience when working with students to ensure the Grand Chapter operates in the best interests of their members." - Stacy Rodriguez
