The Pipeline Virtual Career Fair
February 12, 2019
11 AM - 4 PM EST

In celebration of Insurance Careers Month, Gamma Iota Sigma is bringing you The Pipeline Virtual Career Fair. College students of all majors from any school: Get a job on February 12 by participating in this completely free, entirely virtual career fair! Join via laptop, tablet, or smartphone anytime between 11 AM and 4 PM EST. Chat with company representatives, ask questions, and more, all from the comfort of your own home, school library, or favorite coffee shop

2019 Regional Conference Recap
Gamma Iota Sigma's 2019 Regional Conference Series was a great success! More than 300 students, advisors, and industry professionals gathered across three locations - The Ohio State University, Middle Tennessee State University, and Florida State University - for a career fair, networking, professional development sessions, educational sessions, chapter management sessions, a community service project, and more! The Sigma Chapter's  Annual Philly Excursion  offers a great opportunity to meet members of other Gamma Iota Sigma chapters from all across the country while exploring one of America's most historic cities! Attend a Phillies game, prepare sandwiches for the homeless in a community service event, participate in a D & I round table, and more! Registration is $50 per student, plus $10 for SEPTA Subway Card. All registration fees will be donated to Gift of Life Family House.

Drake Symposium

Interested in actuarial science? Don't miss this exciting upcoming actuarial student conference, the 2019 Drake Symposium! Hosted by Gamma Iota Sigma's Chi Chapter and sponsored by the Casualty Actuarial Society and Society of Actuaries, the Symposium will take place April 12-14 in Des Moines, Iowa, and presents a unique opportunity to network with students from across the country, learn more about intriguing industry topics, and showcase critical thinking and technical skills through a case competition.

Detroit ShowCASE

The Nu Chapter is hosting their third annual Detroit ShowCASE! This inter-chapter event is open to all chapters and highlights the culture, arts, sports, and eats of Detroit, Michigan. Explore the city, visit museums, attend a professional sporting event, and more! The cost is $50 per student, plus lodging (includes meals and all planned activities).

IABA Actuarial Boot Camp & Scholarship

The International Association of Black Actuaries Actuarial Boot Camp Application is OPEN! The IABA Actuarial Boot Camp is a four day workshop that prepares students for a career in Actuarial Science, and will take place July 29 - August 1 at the University of Houston. Don't miss this opportunity! Also, don't miss out on earning $2,000 - $5,000 for school with the IABA Scholarship Program. See if you qualify here. The two-year, online, cohort-based degree comprises online specialized courses in the areas of property/casualty as well as health/life insurance, complemented by foundational MBA business courses.
