Grand Chapter Spotlight: Meet the Board
|
|
Glenn Dorr is the President of the Gamma Iota Sigma Board of Trustees, as well as Head of Business Development and Broker Relations North America, and Interim Head of Business Development and Marketing for Hiscox London Market. Glenn has been in his current role at Hiscox for the last 6 months, and prior to that was the Northeast Regional Director for the Corporation of Lloyd’s. Glenn’s insurance career, for 20 years, has been centered within the ecosystem of Lloyd’s, where he started at Aon, and then worked with two Lloyd’s coverholders, Lloyd’s, and now with Hiscox London Market. He has been deeply involved with Gamma for 6 years, with the last 3 years spent as Treasurer, Executive Vice President, and now President. Glenn notes that he is really proud of how far Gamma has come forward in those years…recognizing all the people before and since that have helped make the organization what it is today and where it's going. Glenn is married to Ellie and has 3 children, 2 who are in college and 1 senior in high school. When he isn’t traveling on business, he is at their schools, watching them compete in sports. In 2017, Glenn completed the World Marathon Majors, which are 6 marathons held around the world in Boston, New York, Chicago, London, Berlin, with his last race in Tokyo. Glenn lives in Manchester-by-the Sea, MA, just north of Boston.
