Estimados Padres de Familia:
Como ha sido nuestro propósito desde el comienzo de esta pandemia, hemos implementado un Plan de Continuidad Académica bien fundamentado y sostenible, respondiendo a nuestra realidad y satisfaciendo las necesidades específicas de nuestra población. Consecuentemente, hemos revisado continuamente los procesos para maximizar el aprendizaje de nuestros estudiantes.
Desde esta perspectiva, hemos venido trabajando en el diseño de la versión 3.0 de nuestro Modelo de Aprendizaje en Alternancia con el que terminaremos el presente año lectivo de manera positiva. En este proceso hemos tenido en cuenta lo clave que es el último segmento del período académico, y la evolución de la coyuntura actual en nuestra ciudad, así como los diferentes momentos de desarrollo de nuestros estudiantes, desde El Nido a Grado 12.
Las autoridades de salud han proyectado un tercer pico de la pandemia relacionado con las vacaciones de Semana Santa. Con base en lo anterior, y contando con el aval de la Junta Directiva, se decidió regresar a clases el martes, 6 de abril, bajo el Modelo de Aprendizaje a Distancia, hasta el miércoles, 14 de abril. Con esta medida, la expectativa es que toda la Comunidad minimice el riesgo de contagio durante los diez días previos al reinicio de la alternancia para poder garantizar un seguro y sano regreso al Campus.
A partir del jueves, 15 de abril, iniciaremos con la Fase III del Modelo de Aprendizaje en Alternancia, así:
- En Preprimaria

Nido 1: continuaremos con dos veces por semana, martes y jueves

Nido 2 y Nido 3: aumentaremos a 4 veces por semana

K4, K5 y 1°: se incrementará la presencialidad a cinco días a la semana y continuaremos con el horario de 7:30 a.m. a 12:00 m.

En Primaria se incrementará la presencialidad a cinco días a la semana, de 7:30 a.m. a 12:00 M.

En Secundaria (Middle y High School) se extenderá la jornada presencial hasta las 2:30 p.m., manteniendo la rotación actual (AA-BB lunes y martes, o jueves y viernes) y se ofrecerán actividades extracurriculares opcionales, sin costo alguno, dos días a la semana (lunes, martes, jueves o viernes). Los miércoles serán estructurados para actividades obligatorias de clases de “Advisory”, electivas y de Educación Física, así como refuerzos académicos, teniendo muy en cuenta la integralidad esperada en la formación de nuestros jóvenes. Se mantendrán los refuerzos de 2:30 a 3:30 p.m. martes y jueves. Los miércoles se estructurará como un día de Aprendizaje Personalizado para apoyar a todos los estudiantes tanto académica como socioemocionalmente y optimizar su aprendizaje. Además, considerando diferentes variables, los grados 11 y 12 asistirán presencialmente cuatro veces por semana.
La semana entrante, les estaremos enviando información detallada para cada sección académica en términos del programa, horarios, servicio de transporte y cafetería para esta tercera fase. Recibirán también, a través de cbmatriculas@colegiobolivar.edu.co, una carta con instrucciones para actualizar su escogencia del modelo de aprendizaje, teniendo en cuenta que el 6 de abril será la fecha límite para solicitar un último cambio con el cual se finalizará el año escolar.
Con esta versión del plan buscamos terminar en junio de la mejor forma posible, allanando el camino para un exitoso 2021-2022.

Dear Parents,
As has been our purpose since the beginning of this pandemic, we have implemented a well-founded and sustainable Academic Continuity Plan, responding to our reality, and meeting the specific needs of our population. Consequently, we have continually reviewed processes to maximize learning for our students.
From this perspective, we have been working on the design of version 3.0 of our Hybrid Learning Model that will allow us to end the current school year in a positive way. In this process we have taken into account how important is the last segment of the academic period and the evolution of the current situation in our city, as well as the different developmental stages of our students, from El Nido to Grade 12.
Health authorities have projected a third peak of the pandemic related to the Easter holidays. Based on the above, and with the endorsement of the Board of Directors, it was decided to return to classes on Tuesday, April 6, under the Distance Learning Model, until Wednesday, April 14. With this measure, the expectation is that the entire community minimizes the risk of contagion during the ten days prior to the restart of the new Hybrid phase in order to guarantee a safe and healthy return to the School campus.
As of Thursday, April 15, we will begin with Phase III of the Hybrid Learning Model, as follows:

In Preprimary

Nido 1: continues twice a week, Tuesdays, and Thursdays.

Nido 2 and Nido 3: attendance will increase to 4 times a week.

K4, K5 and 1°: student attendance will increase to 5 days a week, and will continue with the 7:30 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. schedule

In Primary, attendance will be increased to five days a week, from 7:30 AM to 12:00 PM.

In Secondary (Middle and High School) the face-to-face schedule will be extended until 2:30 PM, maintaining the current rotation (AA-BB Monday and Tuesday, or Thursday and Friday) and optional extracurricular activities will be offered, free of charge, two days per week (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday or Friday). Wednesdays will be structured for mandatory activities of “Advisory” classes, electives and Physical Education, as well as academic reinforcements, taking into account the expected integrality in the formation of our young students. The reinforcements will be maintained from 2:30 to 3:30 PM Tuesday and Thursday. Wednesday’s Personalized Learning Day will be structured to support all students both academically and social emotionally and optimize their learning. Additionally, considering different variables, grades 11 and 12 will attend face-to-face classes four times a week.
Next week, we will be sending you detailed information for each academic section in terms of the program, schedules, transportation service, and cafeteria for this third phase. You will also receive, through cbmatriculas@colegiobolivar.edu.co, a letter with instructions to update the choice of the learning model, taking into account that April 6 will be the deadline to request a last change for this school year.
With this version of the plan, we seek to finish in June in the best possible way, paving the way for a successful 2021-2022.
