Good Morning Mayor Mark,
It looks like things have slightly changed since we spoke last night. Our Drivers and Helpers are out on their routes working on getting the garbage picked up. However- it looks like the Tropical force winds are going to arrive in the area around 12:30 – 1pm. Therefore – we probably will not be able to complete picking up the garbage by this afternoon. We will have to pull the drivers and helpers back to the yard.
I would like to cancel recycling for tomorrow so that we can pick up the remainder of the garbage that we are not able to pick up today. However- I wanted to speak with you and get your thoughts. We also will probably have to start later than normal tomorrow as the landfill is closing earlier than expected today and will not open until 8am tomorrow morning. The landfill normally opens at 5am. This means we will have fewer trailers available this evening and tomorrow to dump the garbage into in order to be transported to the landfill.
Conclusion:
If your garbage is not picked up by 1:00pm today, please move it to a secure area. Plan on putting it back out tomorrow morning.
