Dear Garden House Family Members and Responsible Parties,
As a result of the hard work and dedication of our staff members, along with the encouragement and support you have provided them, I am pleased to report that we remain free from COVID-19 illness in Garden House. Our ongoing efforts to prevent the virus are paying off. I am very proud of our staff, and I know they appreciate the encouragement and support they have received from you as they care for your loved ones.
Despite our good fortune, I want to assure you that we are continuing to follow the guidelines and protocols provided by the Department of Health. The health and well-being of our residents remains our top priority. We anticipate that the Department of Health will be scheduling a time to come onsite to test all of our residents for COVID-19. We will keep you informed of this process.
I also want to update you on a change we are making in employee testing. New York State just changed the requirement for employees to be tested from twice a week to once a week. This was due to very low percentages of positive cases. We will follow state guidelines around testing and will continue to screen all employees daily.
Thank you again for your cooperation, encouragement and support. It means a lot to me and to our staff. Their work has one purpose – the health and well-being of our residents. They are so pleased to know how much you appreciate their efforts.
