June 19, 2020
Dear Garden House Family Members and Responsible Parties,
We understand that many of you were hoping that you might be able to visit in time for Father’s Day. We’re sorry to say it will be a bit longer. As of Friday morning,
Governor Cuomo has not lifted the no-visitors mandate for
enhanced and special needs assisted living communities like Garden House. We anticipate further guidance soon. As soon as we know visitors will be allowed back, we will begin to implement any new Department of Health requirements for safe visitation. This may take us a few days. We will move as quickly as we can to safely reunite you and your loved ones. And what a happy day that will be!
Upcoming COVID-19 Testing of Residents
The Department of Health will be onsite July 2 to perform COVID-19 testing for Garden House residents who consent to the test. This is part of New York State's plan to test all assisted living residents. You will receive a call from one of our managers over the next couple of days to discuss the test.

While we currently do not have any known COVID-19 cases in Garden House, it is possible that we could identify cases in people who do not have any symptoms. If your loved one tests positive, we will contact you by phone to explain the protocols we have in place.
These test results will help us determine our baseline as we begin to discuss next steps for activities, dining and visitation.
