Garden Education Program Newsletter
May 2019
Greetings from the Gardens!
Happy spring to Pacific Northwest gardeners!

We're working rain or shine to plant our Learning Gardens and facilitate Seed to Supper classes. There's so much excitement and curiosity this time of year. Please join us at a Dig In! shift this spring to harvest some veggies, ask your gardening questions, chat with new and old friends, and be inspired. We look forward to seeing you!
Saludos,

Farewell Christine Hadekel!
In April, we said goodbye to Christine Hadekel, Statewide Education and Outreach Manager, who moved back to Canada to work on food insecurity issues with indigenous communities across the country. In her 5 years at Oregon Food Bank, Christine was a consistent and persistent voice for sharing power with the people and the communities we serve. From revamping the Seed to Supper curriculum and leading our statewide expansion efforts to testing out new ways of partnership and new approaches to our work, Christine has left a lasting mark on our organization. Farewell Christine, we'll miss you!
