Our annual "Planting Bee" is morphing into a weekly garden party. We are in need of weekly volunteers to keep our grounds looking great and accomplish some updates. We will gather every Thursday for an hour. Our first meeting will be Thursday May 27th from 6:00 to 7:00pm.
We have our first agenda items and a whole wish list of projects. We need to pull weeds and clean up so we can mulch and plant annuals. We have two new gardens to establish at the northeast and northwest areas of the church. We have bushes to move and plants to thin out. We need to move stones and plant grass. We are working on a new sign. The lots across the street from the church need more clearing and clean up.
We will organize these projects so we always have work to do.
Experience is not necessary. Bring your own tools of the trade, (we need wheelbarrows this week).
Now that we are getting vaccinated and can safely gather outside without masks it will be nice to see each other as a community. Spending an hour working with people we only see in church gives us a feeling of belonging to the "People of the Heart". Working in the gardens will make this a beautiful place to call home.
Families are encouraged and welcome.
Non parish visitors and friends are welcome too.
Come meet our parish family while enjoying your love of gardening.
