HOUSTON - Mayor Pro Tem Martin would like to make Kingwood residents aware that Houston Public Works has begun a sewer main rehab project off of Kingwood Drive along Sand Branch and Garden Point Drive.
The contractor for the project began mobilizing this week by placing materials and equipment on-site in anticipation of construction starting Monday, August 14, weather permitting. The rehab project is estimated to be completed by Monday, November 20. Construction activities are expected to take place Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
As a result of the construction activities, please be aware of flagmen and orange traffic cones that will be put in place on-site to help with traffic flow through the construction zone as the project will require brief lane closures at times. Businesses and residents will have access to driveways and sidewalks at all times and may experience an increase in noise levels due to trucks and equipment in the area.
