Happy 2022 to all our wonderful customers and friends! I’m hoping that you are well and ‘weathering the storm’ as we move through these tough times together.
I really hope that you are looking forward to another year in one of your favourite places – Your Garden! It’s time to start dreaming and planning your summer sanctuary… Think sun and heat and colour and fresh tomatoes! I know you can picture it if you try really hard! I thought I’d drop you a note to tempt you with a few new plant goodies for 2022 and help chase away the February blahs.
Here at the farm, we have been planning for the 2022 season since last July and are anxious to get growing later this month…I can’t wait for the day really soon when I walk into my favourite greenhouse, “Cuba” to start seeding this year’s flowers and veggies.

Opening the end of April
Once again, we don’t really know how the selling season will exactly look this year, but we know that we are GROWING! Kelly and I are in the final stages of planning this year’s crops and will have the 2022 Plant Listing available soon, so that you can plan as much as possible at home. Once we are open in person at the end of April, we look forward to assisting you with your plant choices and helping you create a garden that will bring joy to your life!
We are proud to announce that 2022 will be our 29th year in business and we have plans for many more. Thank you so much for your continued support of this small, independent business.

Applicants must be available to work full days, varying from 2 to 5 days a week from late February to mid June, including weekends. Verbena Cake Pops Pink
Cake Pops are a brand new line of drought tolerant Verbena from my favourite plant breeder, Proven Winners. Clusters of lovely delicate light pink blossoms are produced all summer long, attracting a range of pollinators.
Plants are more upright than the well known trailing varieties, but will still spread beautifully, making them a great mounding filler in combinations and giving them presence when planted in the ground. Cake Pops Pink is tough, durable and drought tolerant and doesn’t stop blooming, even in extreme heat.

Baptisia Pink Lemonade
Commonly known as False Indigo, varieties are usually blue. However, Pink Lemonade is a little different! Unique bicoloured flowers start out soft yellow and age to raspberry pink and mauve lavender. WOW!
Blooming late spring to early summer, flower stems are sturdy and held above upright, full and bushy blue-green foliage. Plants will grow to over 3 feet, so great for the back or middle of a bed. If left untrimmed, the plant forms interesting seedpods that turn charcoal black in the fall and persist into winter. Baptisia will attract scores of butterflies and hummingbirds. Easy to grow and long lived in full sun.

Mountain Magic tomato has exceptional sweet flavour.

Tomato Mountain Magic
I’ve been searching for a really good cocktail or campari type tomato to add to our tomato collection for a while now. I think I’ve found it! Mountain Magic has exceptional sweet flavour, crack resistance and vigorous foliage.
Expect high yields of 2 oz red fruits, formed in clusters of 7-8. Great news for gardeners who have the misfortune to suffer with late blight - Mountain Magic has excellent resistance to both late blight and early blight, making it sure to find its way into my own garden this summer!

Give your seeds the best start.

We can grow your special plants!
Are you spending time this winter browsing through seed catalogues, wishing that you could grow them all? Starting seeds at home is fun and an option for some, but not everyone has the space and environment for the plants to grow well. So, maybe we can turn your seed catalogue dreams into reality with our custom seed growing service.
Each year, we have a small custom seed growing department. Just order your seeds from your favourite supplier, bring them to us by the end of February and we will grow them for you. Pick up your transplants at the end of May, ready to plant outside. Please contact me to discuss pricing and arrange.
