Incentive Program Hits Mark, Funds Allocated
Last year, the Garland City Council allocated $250,000 for the Home Improvement Incentive Program, designed to encourage homeowners to make exterior improvements to prevent blight and make neighborhoods more attractive.
The Office of Neighborhood Vitality reports that residents from all over Garland responded enthusiastically to the program. All program funds have now been committed for a total of 45 home improvement projects.
City Council will monitor the progress of these projects and assess the overall effectiveness of the program. Congratulations to our successful applicants!
