Garland Emergency Residential Assistance Program
The City of Garland has partnered with  Catholic Charities of Dallas Inc.  to provide emergency mortgage and rental assistance to those City of Garland residents impacted by COVID-19. 

Catholic Charities Inc. is processing applications on a first-come, first-served basis. While we are committed to processing as many applications as we have funding for, we do anticipate a high demand. Learn more.
Fire Department Blood Drive Wednesday, July 15
Register now to participate in the Garland Fire Department Blood Drive! 

Appointments are available from 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday, July 15, at the Garland Fire Department Administration parking lot, 1500 State Highway 66. 

Reserve your spot today! Participants  will receive a free Texas Rangers baseball hat after a successful donation.
Health Protocols for Voting in July 14 Primary Election
The Secretary of State's Office has released guidance on recommended health protocols for Texas election officials and voters (pdf).

In preparation for the upcoming Democratic Primary Runoff Election on Tuesday, July 14, the Dallas County Elections Department will implement these procedures for all voters who wish to cast their ballot in person during Early Voting or on Election Day.

Made Fresh & Local Virtual Concerts
We may not be able to host our traditional outdoor Sounds of Summer Concert Series at the Square this year, so we are bringing a true Garland Fresh & Local concert experience straight into your living room!  

Get a front-row seat to our Made Fresh & Local virtual concert series every other Friday night featuring some of the area's best musicians and artists.

COVID-19 Updates
The Garland Health Department has received reports of 1,300 active cases out of 2,368 confirmed cases of coronavirus (COVID-19) in Garland residents since the beginning of the pandemic, as well as 27 deaths. The City will update its posted case numbers each afternoon after 2 p.m.

July 6 and 7
Work Session will begin at 6 p.m. Monday, July 6. Regular Meeting will begin at 7 p.m. Tuesday, July 7. 

Due to COVID-19 public gathering restrictions, the meetings will be virtual.  You can watch the meetings online. The virtual meeting link will be included in the individual meeting agenda. You may participate by telephone. Dial-in numbers will be posted with the virtual meeting information.
