Garland Cemetery Walking Tour
Graveyards are outdoor museums that contain vast amounts of historic artistic and architectural information.

As you walk through the cemetery at Garland Memorial Park, 1600 S. Garland Ave., consider that these are the lives that made our city.

Tour guidebooks are available at the Garland Landmark Museum, 393 N. Sixth St., from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays.

At the back of the guidebook is a index of many of the gravestone symbols you will encounter on your walk. These symbols are referenced on each stop’s detailed page. Gravestone rubbing/tracing materials are available for free upon request.
