Hello Everyone,

We have a lot to share this month. There are (non-resident) rate changes, class changes and building maintenance closings planned this month.

Town of Garner Recreation Fee Changes:

The Town of Garner Fee Schedule has changed to increase non- resident fees to 40% above resident fees (see image of Fee Schedule below. We will be implementing these changes in October, after all current program advertising has expired.

Stretch and Flex on Fridays: Oksana is going to be out another month, as she recovers from orthopedic surgery. We do not have a substitute for that specific class. Alex Lewis has agreed to teach Zumba Santeo on Fridays in August. This is a great opportunity to try something new and to keep moving. We will resume Stretch and Flex classes in September.

Building Painting: We are scheduled to have both of our buildings painted sometime between August 14- August 28. This is going to be a little tricky to navigate. The thought is that we will close down one building at a time until the job is completed- at all times we will have one of the two buildings open for scheduled use. Of course, this will effect programming. We will be posting information as soon as we have it confirmed. Thanks in advance for your patience. With all of the future renovation work we have coming up, this will be a good test run.

We are happy to announce that Erica Arrington will be joining us as a full time Program Specialist on August 28. We look forward to welcoming her to our team.
