Project Restore - Round 2
The Maryland Department of Housing and Community Development is still accepting applications in Round 2 of Project Restore. Businesses opening or expanding into vacant retail and commercial properties in Maryland may be eligible for Project Restore grants to help with rent payments and operating costs in their first year. MD Dept. of Transportation Seeks Comment on Draft Freight Plan and State Rail Plan
The Maryland Department of Transportation (MDOT) is updating the Maryland State Freight Plan and the Maryland State Rail Plan, and has published both draft plans online for a 30-day public outreach period. Both plans are critical to support federal, state and private investment in Maryland’s rail and freight network. Both plans are expected to be finalized and become available online later this year once approved by the governing federal agency. The public comment period will close August 11, 2022.
The Maryland Global Consulting Program is an opportunity for companies to work with a team of 3-5 business graduate students to expand their global business or solve an international business challenge, and get a consultant’s perspective. The student team will provide approximately 10 hours of consulting toward the project per week over the fall 2022 semester (about 14 weeks).
