Sports Field Progress

If you haven't heard, we have 2 sports fields going in near the south entrance of the community.

Irrigation has been completed and fencing is now being installed. We have not received word on a completion date, but we will keep you informed as we recieve intel.

We currently have no plans to "rent or reserve" the space. The fields will be available on a first-come, first served basis for RESIDENTS ONLY.

We are very excited about these new additions!

Hot Topic: Rental Properties

Are rental properties acceptable at Gateway Parks? Here's what the bylaws have to say about it.

Homes within the community may be leased or rented with a lease term of atleast 6 months.

The lease shall be in writing and a copy of the lease must be filed with the HOA within 10 days of signing. Homeowners must also provide its tenants a copy of the documents.

The Homeowner is still responsible for their tenants and the routine maintenance of the home, such as lawn care.

Holiday Office Closure

Association Offices will close at 3pm today and remain closed through Monday, in observance of Labor Day. We will resume normal business hours on Tuesday, 9/3.

Lone Star Farm

I had the pleasure of stopping in at Lone Star Farm this week to visit with Roseann Morrow, the owner, operator, baker and canner extraordinaire! Seriously, this lady does it all!

If you met Roseann at our Colors of Autumn vendor show last year then you know she is our local "farm to table" go to. Jams, jellies, fresh breads, pies, pickles...you name it and she probably makes it. Last, but not least, let's talk meat......"where's the BEEF?". (I'm definitely revealing my age with that one.)

Along with the help of her son Glenn, who she calls "a Godsend", Roseann raises her cattle mother natures' way - NO hormones and NO antibiotics. It doesn't get cleaner than this.

It was oddly fortunate that I was running late and missed breakfast because Roseann was prepared with goodies for me, including a slice of "hippy banana bread" fresh out of the oven. I can attest that it was warm, fresh and oh so delicious.
