Adages, Aphorisms,or Hokum?
Jim Mehler preaching

What are we to make of a word of the Lord which says "the life you took I'll take from you and give it back to them"? Since there may not be any murderers within ear-shot (well, eye-shot), I guess we're off the hook. Maybe not. The word is not just for individuals but for the "wise community" of which, we, the faith community, are a part. Consider that "life" is more than just respiration, digestion, mobility but also peace and justice. What "life" is it what we, wise/faith community, take and for which we have responsibility to ensure? Questions in search of answers.
