site seems to work best in Chrome, Safari or Firefox. This site also allows access to magazine articles that students can select, read and quiz on. They are not awarded points for quizzing on these articles, but it's good reading/comprehension practice. These articles are primarily for grades 3-7 (not 1st or 2nd grade).
Students can access these articles (after logging in) from the page when they generally type in the title of their book. Just below the title box, click on an area of interest (animals, culture, education, etc. ). From that point, a list of articles will appear. Check the ATOS BL (book level) of the article to select an appropriate reading level. Click on "read and take quiz." The search for appropriate reading level articles can be refined by using "filter search" located next to the title box -- just enter the student's reading/grade level (such as 3.5 to 4.5) to help narrow down the choices.
