Alumni Spotlight, Michela Sorano '20
Bucks County Community College Pastry Apprenticeship alum '20 and entrepreneur, Michela Sorano, launched the grand opening of Baked by Michela in May!

Michela has been operating her small business out of her home and bringing her treats to food truck festivals since 2018. Opening up a store front is a dream come true for Michela, and she is beyond excited to be setting up shop in Southampton.

Michela hopes to be so busy that she 'has to practically sleep here' and curate treats that are different than what you find at the supermarket. She is well known for her baking abilities and the authenticity of her seasonal treats and custom cakes. You can read more about her bakery opening here.

Baked by Michela is now featured on our Alumni Food Trail! Check out the complete food trail on our site.

Bucks played the 3rd seed on Tuesday, May 16th, and the 1st seed on Wednesday, May 17th in DuBois, PA. Read more here.
Revisiting their meeting spot on campus
A true Bucks sweetheart story, Jeff and Karin Halikman met during a summer session of Psychology 101 in Founders Hall in 1992. Back on campus for commencement, they sat in their old seats for a photo-op. They remember their days in the classroom fondly and the first date that came shortly after the summer course ended. Celebrating their 25th wedding anniversary this year with their three children, they greatly attribute BCCC to their personal and family successes.
