The week of important economic data kicks off tomorrow with September results from the NFIB small-business index and the New York Fed Five-Year inflation expectations. Thursday brings us Consumer Price Index results from September and preliminary jobs data from the first week of October. We wrap up the week on Friday with September retail sales figures, August business inventories, and remarks from Fed Governor Lisa Cook about the economic outlook.

A number of banks are on the schedule for Friday, including JPMorgan Chase, Citigroup, Morgan Stanley, PNC, U.S. Bancorp, and Wells Fargo.
