With the back-to-school and return-to-office seasons in full swing, September feels like a fresh start for many. Is it just us or does this month feel more hectic than August?! Luckily, we can all take a breather and relax with the arts. Read on to find out what we've programmed for the next few weeks!

Elora Joy Sarmiento
Elora Joy Sarmiento is an aspiring performer currently in the joint Musical Theatre Program between St. Lawrence College
and Queen’s University.

Growing up in Markham, Ontario, she attended Unionville High School in the Arts
Unionville Vocal Program.

Elora has found solace through singing from a young age, which stemmed into
her love for telling stories through song.

The Alexa Belgrave Trio
Alexa Belgrave has an interest in composition and an interactive and rhythmic ‘comping style. She has worked with bands such as TUSH, the Cy Youngs, and Queer Songbook Orchestra, and currently teaches at the Annex Academy of Music and Musical Theatre Performance at Sheridan College.

Madeleine Ertel is a trumpeter, vocalist, composer, and arranger known for her honest and melodic approach to music-making. She performs with the free jazz-influenced quartet Never Was, the neo-soul band Moodset, her folk-inspired duo with guitarist Harry Bartlett, and in various straight-ahead jazz ensembles.

Caleb Klager is a bassist, sound designer, and electroacoustic composer. He has performed, toured, recorded, and composed for a variety of projects and artists including JC3, Spectrum Music, and Erez Zobary. In 2021, he released his EP, Theories, a sound piece to be used in tandem with various art installations and crafted objects in Canada and abroad.

In collaboration with Unionville BIA, we are hosting concerts every weekend that feature local musicians! Come experience everything that Main Street has to offer while enjoying music that will excite, soothe, and delight.

Louisiana Havana

Louisiana Havana is a fusion of New Orleans jazz and traditional Cuban music led by Jorge Gavidia Morales. The ensemble performs classic songs in both genres from the 1920s and 30s. Whether it’s the Mardi Gras spirit of New Orleans, or the hot Cuban dance music reminiscent of clubs in Havana, this band always brings a party to the stage!

Diana and Andrew Dawydchak

DnA - Diana and Andrew are an award winning brother and sister fiddle duo from Toronto, Canada. With roots in classical music and the early crossover to Canadian fiddle music, these multi-instrumentalists pass on a Canadian tradition into a high energy performance with their own modern Celtic sound.
