Gearing up for 2023
This year, in 2022, we dedicated two brand new completed homes in Denton to two incredibly hardworking families. These home dedications are made possible thanks to thousands of dollars in sponsorships and over 5,000 volunteer hours by over 300 volunteers! We are blessed to have such a supportive community in Denton County helping to build a world where everyone has a decent place to live.

Standing on the accomplishments of 2022, we are now gearing up for a New Year and new beginnings! We look forward to working with you in 2023 to help more families build or improve a place to call home. In 2023, we plan to dedicate the Johnson family's home - our 107th home - and also break ground on the Habitat Village. Please join us as we embark on these great projects in efforts to help more families in our community build a better life.
Community Spotlight: StoneCoat DFW
Thanks to a generous donation from StoneCoat DFW, the front of our 107th home has beautiful stone accents! Our Habitat homes are affordable for our families AND beautiful additions to the surrounding neighborhoods, thanks to generous partners like StoneCoat!

StoneCoat is a lightweight stone veneer system suitable for both residential and commercial projects. Their building materials are climate-positive and emit 90% less carbon emissions than traditional Portland cement based materials. All Habitat homes are built to be energy-efficient, so this partnership is yet another way Habitat is helping to conserve energy and help our climate!

In addition to the beautiful stone added to the home last week, our volunteers have been hard at work on many other essential tasks to the home at 601 Rose Street in Denton. From installing doors, trim, and baseboards to window sills and shelving in the closets, great progress is being made on this home. There are so many small details that go into the making of a Habitat home, and our amazing Build Committee volunteers graciously and dedicatedly lead us in accomplishing each one! Special shoutout to our House Leaders, Rich Totilo and Mike Howard, for their leadership in ensuring this home stays on schedule and meets all inspections!

Shonbray Johnson, the home's future owner, recently completed her "sweat equity" hours on the home. We plan to dedicate this home in early 2023 to her and her family!
Brand new Christmas décor, generously donated by At Home, landed on our sales floor last week. Thanks to the support of our shoppers, it has been flying off the shelves! Hurry in to take advantage of the great prices at our store - you're sure to find some great pieces to decorate your home this holiday season!

Holiday Closures: The ReStore will be closed December 23-24 and December 31.

The ReStore's regular hours are Tuesday - Saturday from 8:30am-5:00pm at 1805 Cornell Lane in Denton.

We are raising funds to develop 8 acres of vacant land in Southeast Denton and establish a new "Habitat Village" housing development on the property. As many as 35 new affordable homes will be built alongside local families in need via this development. This project involves developing the infrastructure of this neighborhood, including the streets, sidewalks, utilities, proper drainage requirements, and everything else needed to support a neighborhood of 35 homes.

The majority of our funds are raised by local individuals and local organizations, so we are relying on YOUR continued support to carry us forward. Would you consider making a gift to the Habitat Village today?
