Gearing up for summer: Summer Reading, Summer School, Summer Food Service & More

As we begin the month of May, we certainly begin to eye the end of the school year. However, rather than approaching the end of the year as a countdown until it ends we will look at the remaining time left to improve each day. It’s also an opportunity to continue to live our mission statement of Connect, Inspire, Achieve, Everyone, Every day!

Recently, WDHS completed its 2021-22 staffing plan and Mr. Gaston and the rest of the WDHS faculty are preparing to serve roughly 565 students next year. One key component of our strategic plan under the strategic objective of student, Next year WDHS students will participate in 13 sections of Advanced Placement (AP) courses with 227 students enrolled at this time. Additionally, WDHS students will participate in 23 sections of dual credit (DC) courses aligned with a Wisconsin Technical College System school. There are 314 students enrolled in these courses at this time. WDHS will also offer 6 sections of Project Lead the Way (PLTW) courses and there are 106 students enrolled in these courses and students who successfully complete these courses can earn advanced standing technical or college credits.
