Gelber Schachter & Greenberg is pleased to announce that Juan Carlos Zamora has been named its newest partner. J.C.'s practice includes a variety of white-collar criminal and civil matters.
J.C. represents clients in federal and state courts as well as both domestic and international arbitrations. He has experience in complex criminal cases as well as civil matters involving breach of contract, corporate disputes, and fraud, often involving foreign jurisdictions. J.C.’s diverse practice also includes representing and advising clients in criminal and regulatory investigations involving the Department of Justice and Department of Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control. No matter what the case, J.C. prides himself on guiding his clients in their cases from start to finish, and he is involved in every aspect of the matter, both in and out of court.
Prior to joining the firm, J.C. clerked for District Judges Jose E. Martinez and Federico A. Moreno in the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida. He has also served as an Assistant State Attorney at the Miami-Dade State Attorney’s Office and as a visiting professor at the University of Miami School of Law.
J.C. is a fluent Spanish speaker.
