Movie night: Trans Mexico Followed by panel discussion led by
Rev. Maxwell Reay
"Trans Women face more difficulties in Latin America than any part of the world. In most of these countries, Trans People don’t have access to education, work opportunities, housing and medical services due to Transphobia an uncheck form of discrimination. Mexico, one of the biggest countries in Latin America had recently approved laws that protects LGBT Communities, however; TransGender & Transsexual people are left behind in the constitution. Unfortunately, Mexico has one of the highest rates of murders towards transwomen around the world. The law hasn’t been reinforced to persecute these crimes. In spite of the challenges, there are TransWomen who are empowered in the Mexican Society, they decided to be and live as they feel, and found respect, acceptance, love, and professional opportunities. TransMexico is a film in which explores the lives of these women working, loving, and living in Mexico. The film explores various aspects of their life, such as profession, family, friends, culture, society, and last but no least….the Republic of Mexico itself."

We are very excited that Flamy Grant will be joining us at GC for an evening of fun, singing and fellowship! She is an amazing artist and advocate.
"Award-winning and Billboard-charting artist Flamy Grant is a shame-slaying, hip-swaying, singing-songwriting drag queen from Asheville, North Carolina. Her 2022 debut record, Bible Belt Baby, reached the #1 spot on the iTunes Christian Chart (the first drag performer to achieve this feat), was nominated for Best Pop Album at the San Diego Music Awards, and was named one of the Top Ten Queer Country Albums of 2023 by Rainbow Rodeo Magazine. Her single “Good Day” debuted at #20 on the Billboard Christian digital sales chart. Her recently-released sophomore album “CHURCH” has already reached #8 on the iTunes Country Chart."

Discussion Circle Dates
General Conference 2025
Discussion Circles are the main way that you can give feedback on bylaw proposals, motions and other items of business, in a less formal setting, before the General Conference Business Meeting. Anyone involved in MCC can participate in the Discussion Circles. However it is particularly important that Lay Delegates, Clergy and other delegates with vote and/or voice attend at least one Discussion Circle. Items to be discussed will be sent out in a Discussion Pack by the end of the first week of February, prior to the Discussion Circles starting.
The following dates for Discussion circles have been set in consultation with input from Network leaders, MCC staff and others around the world. You can attend any Discussion Circle and you may attend more than one. In fact, participating in a Discussion Circle that targets a different time zone provides an opportunity for you to connect with others in our global community. This site may be helpful to compare time zones - https://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/converter.html. [There will be no translation provided, however all the comments will be translated afterwards into English, Spanish, Portuguese and German].

Discussion Circles.
